Love this skirt…I’m 5’3, 140, and M fits perfectly/hits just at top of knee. Will be great for travel although after drip drying, it was not quite wrinkle free, but will do.

I love this skirt. I practically live in it. It is super comfortable. Dress it up or dress it down, great to travel in. I keep wondering what I used to wear before I had this skirt!

I own four of these magical skirts. The fabric feels comfy like a t-shirt, but looks much dressier and does not pill or get wrinkly. I have pretty much quit wearing shorts and wear these for summer (with light shapewear shorts underneath). I am a size 12, and the size L is slightly loose and very comfortable, but not so loose that it falls down or looks bulky. The cut of this skirt is very flattering. You can dress this down with a tank/tee and flips, or you can throw on dressy shoes and blouse and wear to work.

I have at least seven of these skirts. They are awesome. I am 6’1″, 175 poundss with a straight, athletic lower body and the medium fits perfectly. I live in these! They are soft, comfortable, easy to care for, and wash up nicely (wash cold, shake out, lay flat or over chair to dry). I have found these skirts to be excellent to travel with, as the dark colors can easily be worn multiple times (Yay for light packing!). I do not put these in the dryer (I dislike putting heat to most of my clothes), and I have few wrinkles that fall out after I have worn the skirts for a short time. Hits just at/above the knees and I wear it low on my hips, my torso is very long. The skirt is very forgiving and the wide waistband stretches the longer you have it on, so definitely do not order up if you are on the fence. It does not get sloppy on me, it just relaxes a bit. These skirts are long enough to cover the important stuff, but are still fun and have a nice swing to them. They work great if you like to wear shapers/shorts under for more coverage on more active days. I live in Florida, and these are so much cuter, cooler and versatile than shorts. I have only had mine for a season, so I cannot speak to the durability, but all Toad&Co/Horny Toad products have worn very well, so I expect the same with these.

This skirt would be perfect for any body type other than someone for whom extra weight sits around mid-waist. The skirt is very comfy, has very pleasant soft quality fabric and drapes nicely, but the wide waist band just cradles my little mommy tummy pouch making it look bigger than it is. Because the wait band is gathered on the sides it can’t be folded over, and because of it’s style (waist band begins above bikini line top and ends under belly button) it just creates a pouch for my pouch. Sad to send it back.

I LOVE the Chaka skirt. I own 5 of them in various colors and I wear them all the time. With flats, with sandals, with flip flops, with boots. It really just depends on the weather and where I’m going. You can totally dress the skirt up or simply wear it with a tank and flip flops. I’m 5’3″ and 145 lbs with small hips but a curvy butt and thighs. I wear the Medium and it hits about mid-knee on me. Wash it on cold delicate and let it hang dry definitely!

Very comfortable and good size. Has very small hidden pocket inside waist line on right side. Love it, but am paying a bit more than it may be worth.

This skirt is very comfortable and the fabric buttery soft. I am 5’3/154 pounds, size 10/12 on the bottom. I tried both M and L sizes. The Medium fit but really hugged my curves while the Large was a relaxed fit (I went with the Large). The color is more of a pale pistachio than an aqua.

The fabric print was beautiful, but very thin. For a skirt at this price, I expect more in the way of quality. Also, the waistline is neither here-nor-there: it doesn’t fold over completely, but it doesn’t lay flat. Not flattering to have bulk around your middle.

I love the Toad&Co Chaka Skirt. The fabric is yummy and comfy. The skirt runs a tad large, so I always order a small, instead of a medium. I look forward to every new season to check out new Toad fabrics for the Toad&Co Chaka Skirt. This skirt is Toadelicious!

I wanted to love this skirt but it’s going back. Like another reviewer said the waistband accentuates post-baby belly. The fabric is also too thin. I was looking for a replacement for a Round Robin skirt Zappos no longer sells. That skirt had similar style but much more flattering fit in the stomach are and the fabric was soft and light yet also more luxurious to the touch and look. This skirt would be ok as a casual go to the beach piece but not for this price.

I ordered the L and XL. The L fits ok, may run a little large. Probably would have kept it but the fabric seems a little thin. Finding a cool, breathable fabric that doesn’t show every lump and bump is a challenge!

Toad & Co makes my favorite casual clothing, and the Chaka skirt is no exception! I prefer a straighter style, so the Chaka is a happy medium between a pencil skirt and the Toad Chachacha, which is a bit “swingy” for my figure. The mini blue stripe is fun without being too bold, and the fabric is soft. I wash in cold, tumble for a few minutes, then hang to dry.

This is the skirt I was looking for. The fit is A-line. I am 5’4” and it hits me just above the knee, where I wanted it. The material is soft and light. Good for hot & humid climates like Houston. It’s a lazy-day skirt, probably best worn with flip flops; not really for dressy occasions.

I now have three, and these skirts are my staples, for dress-up or casual. They’re versatile, stylish and very flexible. I bought my first one three years ago in a gray stripe. Then orange fleck. Now the navy stripe. They wash in cold water: machine or hotel bathroom sink. Wrinkles hang out overnight. They don’t cling. They’re comfortable in hot, muggy weather. They look good in cold weather with tights. I’m a little more than 5’3″, 130 lbs, with a stomach, and the large hits about an inch above my knee; the waist is loose and comfortable.

Let’s just say I’m the opposite of tall and thin 🙂 My legs look terrible in shorts so I always wear skirts. I bought the black and grey and love them. Hits right at the knee, fits securely at the waist, not tight through hips and thighs, and thick enough so there are no unflattering bumps. Super comfortable. These are my go to weekend skirts. Too casual for the office but I do wear it on casual Fridays in the summer. ordered a size large….

The fit was good. I’m a size 14 and a large size fit me well. The fabric is soft and drapes nicely.

I am keeping this, though the fabric is thin, and I bet it won’t last long. It hits my mid though, which is a lot shorter than the picture shows
Kristen –
I have been wearing these skirts for over ten years. it’s such a great and comfortable design. but the quality of the fabric has continued to go down. The material is so thin now that you can see through it – not exactly what you want for a skirt. I will this company would go back to the thicker, higher quality material. I had to return.

I have a few Toad dresses that I really like, so thought I’d try one of their skirts instead of shorts for the summer. The fabric for this skirt is nice, definitely summer weight though. The fit, unfortunately, is strange. It’s meant to sit at your hips and has this weird ruched waist band, which makes it hard to find a top to go with it. If you wear a t-shirt and tuck it in, it’s unflattering because the skirt is sitting at your hips (you can kind of see this in some of the pictures). If you wear a shirt over it, you can see the ruched waist bunched up underneath. This seems like it would be a good cover-up for a swim suit, but I couldn’t get it to work for me with a regular top.
Denise –
Too thin. I need darker colors

Looks cheaper in person. Thinner material than expected. Nice color. Returned.

This skirt is comfortable and long enough so that you can bend down without worrying about flashing anyone.
GodsDAUGHTER –
i adore this skirt. it’s comfortable, and it’s so versatile. it also keeps it shape throughout the day, it doesn’t get all wrinkly from wear or stretched out. its a fun piece to have. i am not sure about the sizing though but im in between sizes, im between a XS and a SM. dont get me wrong they run true to size but im just one of those people who have a hard time finding my right size. i could go either or and be just fine. like i said, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS SKIRT. no regrets with this purchase.

Debating. I am size 10, bought this skirt in M. It fits easy and looks nice. However, the shirred top is very loose and stretches. The only way to wear this size is on the hips, not the waist. And even then, it could go down. I am thinking to try size S. But the fabric and the way it is sewn are way too high-priced. I will probably wait until it goes on sale. It’s a cheaply made skirt, although it is nice to wear around the house and to the beach.
