Chuck –
Great safety shoes, especially insulated for the cold. Made of a weird but solid material. Took a few days to break in. Hopefully these will last in the toes since I crawl around a lot of the day (HVAC work). The only problem is traction on wet surfaces.

Rawhide covered steel –
These may well be the ultimate work boots. I’ve beat the tar out of them roofing and they are yet to show much wear. They’re a bit pricey for work boots, but I think I’ll probably walk off the soles before the toes wear through to the steel.
Mine did need to be broken in and EverGuard is tough leather. My feet are very wide so YMMV.

What a Work Boot!
Plan on a day or two to break in, but these are the best Timberland’s I’ve had. Great support and wide toe area. Treated leather is not only waterproof, it looks tough.

More boot than I thought!
I have owned my pair of boots for about 8 months now and I really think I will get tired of looking at them before they wear out. I live on a farm and I wear them every day doing everything from farm work to work in my shop. I put them through the gauntlet of abuse and they absolutely wear like iron from the outter leather to the sole. To say the least I am very pleased with them. I only hope they continue to make them when I need another pair.

Timberland PRO Power Welt FIVE STAR BOOT –
I have worn safety shoes for 36 years, I have tested safety shoes in a lab for my company. To date these are the most comfortable, and best built boots I have purchased. I have a wide foot, no issues at all with the steel toe, and those with wide feet know all the problems with the cap cutting into your toes. These are great. For a rugged shoe, the weight is also lower than one would expect. Five stars.

The Best –
The saying goes, “Jack of all trades, master of none”, but these boots are the master of all trades. These are tough, warm, waterproof workhorses. Here in northwest PA, our wind chill dips below freezing all too often and not once have I felt it in my feet. The comfort is superior. I ended up having to go mall shopping for hours in these boots when even tennis shoes hurt my feet before… no problem! They are a great investment!

Great Boot –
My husband loves these boots. They fit well, feel good and needed no breaking in.

G8351427 Review Vol. One –
These are nice boots. I have worn other work boots that you would typically find in a department store, and these are far superior. They were almost perfectly comfortable from day one; I have bad knees and these seem to have good support. They offer a lot of features for the money: a steel toe, but likely, not waterproofing in other boots. The only caveats, the design is odd; one color would be better. The laces don’t stay centered; if you don’t pay attention, they pull through to one side. They become very slippery if you step in oil. I have recommended these to friends. Zappos experience was awesome. Ordered the wrong size, they did a free advance exchange with overnight shipping.

These boots are tough. I’ve had them before, and I liked them a lot. I got an extra eight weeks of wear out of my last pair. I tried the Titans before this, and I’ll be going back to those next summer for a lighter feel. The Power Welt can be a bit stuffy. Good for winters though.

These boots I bought from an outdoor shop in Oct. of 08 lasted me until May of 09. I go through boots like crazy, Red Wings, Cat, just about all I can try. They are very light for steel toed and very comfortable; when they say water proof they mean it. I had these boots about half or a little less in water and was still dry as a bone. Great boot all around just got another pair a couple days ago…

I love my work boots! They look good and they feel good. However, Zappos service is even better. I had to exchange some basketball shoes and was amazed at the ease and professional treatment I received. I have since referred a number of my friends to Zappos. When Zappos says they’re powered by service, that is not just a slogan!

Great boot, I bought it for my husband, he works outdoors and he says they are comfortable, no breaking in necessary and really waterproof. I would highly recommend.

I am very pleased with my 1st experience ordering from Zappos. Everything went smoothly, the boots were delivered exactly when promised, look like the picture shown and are waterproof as stated. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

I got these boots in the middle of winter and figured that I would give them a day or two to break them in, but when I tried them on I didn’t want to take them off. I wore them out of the store and I wear them everyday to work and every wear else I go. Overall, great boots.

Have had these boots now for over 3 years and started wearing them for work for 2 years now and I can’t say how well these boots are! Not only do they feel good and waterproof, but they have held up better than I ever thought. Since the tops are mostly composite, they can take the stress of having concrete, mortar, and drywall mix w/o ruining the tops… Easy to clean, just stand in a puddle and brush clean with your broom. Plus, you won’t track up a floor with the non-marring soles. Oh, BTW, I’ve learned that with Steel toes in winter you’re better off if you get a 1/2 size larger so you can stay away from the tips. Thank Timberland for making another great boot!

The comfort is very good, very good protection and I like the style. By cons I had not in other shoes…perspiration.
Elias C –
Fit really well and very comforable. On my feet all day and I have plantar fascitis. Also very easy to clean which is great since I am out in the dirt.

I bought this pair three years ago this month. I work in the metal fabrication industry as a welder and a machinist.
These boots work great, except that some of the lace holes have cut into the laces over the time. This was solved by using a miniature round file to remove the chafing areas but as for many other things, this procedure required some effort.
I am in the market for another pair of steel toed boots and I trust Zappos to have many options available. (They have my size anyway!)

Great boot. Lasts a long time and keeps shallow water out. This will be my third time buying these.
Dale –
This is the second pair I’ve owned. They are comfortable right out of the box. I work in the fertilizer industry and am very hard on shoes. These have been a good choice.
Barry S –
I have a small farm and my boots get a rough workout daily – that’s seven days a week – cutting firewood, digging holes, irrigating, hauling rocks, etc. This is my 2nd pair of these Timberland boots. On the pair I purchased 17 months previous, the lining started to come loose in one shoe, the stitching was coming out in one small area, and I was on my 2nd pair of shoestrings. I am very pleased with the durability of these boots and highly recommend them.
Michael –
This is a very study boot, moderately comfortable, but well built. The exterior coating (Ever-Guard?) is pretty amazing It has a rough texture, almost like a cat’s tongue, but it resists all sorts of scarring and scuffs. It’s not the most attractive finish, but it looks exactly the same after months of wear as it did out of the box. That coating might just make me give these boots 5 stars except for one big thing…they are not waterproof. Not even water-resistant. If I walk 15 feet through dewy grass I can start to feel moisture inside. I might chalk that up to a bad seal, but since both boots get equally wet, I think it’s just poor design. Still, they are very tough boots, and relatively comfortable for being so rugged, so I would definitely recommend trying them.
Marco F –
I started wearing these boots on Nov. 1, 2011 and on Dec. 22, 2011 the stitching on part that holds the laces broke. The boots are comfortable but you sweat in them because it has no way to release moisture.

Very comfortable work boot. Wish the sold these with higher ankle support and larger heel.
